What is it supposed to DO?

Non-tacky style ease. Great for defining curls & light-weight enough for root lifting. Perfectly suitable for all hair types. When using as a curl enhancer, the more you manipulate the hair, the softer the hair will become, still giving all day hold.

How important is scent?

Elevate Spray Gel smells awesome. AS we have come to expect from Shear Miracle Organics the scent is dead on. Fresh, clean and organic. There is a hint of spice & sweetness to it but it is gone in minutes. We found it endearing but you always are left wanting to smell it some more.

How does the product feel when you use it?

This is actually one of the better spray gels we have ever worked with for lightness. It is super light and not sticky at all for a spray gel.

How does the packaging look and hold up?

Packaging is great. Sprays easily and consistently. Very comfortable in your hands.

Holding Power

It had good hold, easily layered to get a little more.

We put it through the paces!

We worked two ways with Elevate Spray Gel, first diffusing it and working into the hair as a natural curl enhancer. It worked really well. We were able to spray it lightly into the roots and through the shaft and ends then immediately hitting with a diffuser. Strong curl formation with NO FRIZZ and NO stickiness common to many spray gels.

Then we worked it into the hair to firm up a blow dry and finish. Worked really well again. because it is not sticky we were able to work our brushes through the hair easily as well. We went back into the hair at the roots with a light mist and some warm air to set it and we got great lift.

I know this may be a bit "OLD SCHOOL" but it was a great setting lotion, I mean really cool. We played with some curlers and let them warm air dry with the spray gel in, BAM they were on target. If you do some retro looking hair and need a rocking setting spray this could be it.

Layering is one of the tricks here. This is a medium strength hold at best leaning to the lighter side ... but without being sticky you can layer it slightly to increase holding strength.

Products you will need to complete the experience

We worked with the Shine like a Rock Star Serum on the diffused hair to further enhance the curls. Great Combo!

Overall we really like this Spray gel. Our review was pretty all around here because the product kept working so we pushed a bit harder to see where it would fall off. It did not, it kept on working with us. We worked it into the hair and then even tried some iron work and still it felt great. LOVED that it was not sticky. AS an enhancement product or setting product this is a must try.
