Handle Fit and Feel

This 'feels' incredible in your hand. As soon as you pick up the tool you immediately know that it is special. The materials are comfortable and it is very easy to use. You can tell that it was designed first rather than engineered then put together. It is designed to work with what it is doing. The top of the tool has a "COOL" spot for your hand so when you are working with it you can use easily two hands to hold and position.

How does the product feel when you use it?

When you start using the Cloud Nine Wide Iron you immediately feel the difference in the construction of the product. It feels like a luxury tool.

How does the packaging look and hold up?

No detail was spared attention on these products. The packaging is amazing and delivered in perfect condition . Great boxing for ultimate protection. You can easily see this is something that the people who created it really care about.

We put it through the paces!

I love this iron, BUT I need to really be clear it is NOT an IRON. It is a tool, It is perhaps one of the most important tools to have come forward in the professional hair industry since the blow dryer.
It straightened hair easily and quickly and the heat adjustments were obviously computer controlled as you could always see the real temperature of the plates. Working with the Wide Iron for this review was really cool. It was the first tool we worked with in the Cloud Nine line series and we were simply amazed (OH and it got Better, read the "O" review). The iron was spot on and the controls were great. The swivel cord and the length of the cord were certainly created by people who use these things not just manufacture them and try to figure out margins and demographics.

Curls and waves MADE EASY. We loved playing with this and here is a secret... We styled hair for hours playing and learning what this tool can do. It was nothing short of inspiring.
One of the looks that we loved was to take our clients hair from straight to wavy and it was so easy! Starting at the root we lifted it straight off the scalp and then turned our wrist to let the hair just wrap slightly around one side of the iron. This created great lift at the root. We slid the iron down the hair and then half way down lightly wrapped the hair around the iron (YES LIKE A CURLING IRON, because that is how it is designed as the outside gets hot as well).
BAM we had lift at the top and waves at the bottom that looked sexy and natural. I love this tool.

Products you will need to complete the experience

I think you will need to read all the reviews for Cloud Nine Hair Tools. We worked with several styling lines and they all seemed to get great results. What we did do is compile different looks with multiple tools from the line to really tweak it out. I recommend the Micro iron as an addition and a must have to everyone's collection.

It has really been years since we have tested a hot tool that was so far apart from what its competitors are doing. Cloud Nine has set a new standard worldwide for what is possible when you start with the concept of leading rather then following.

First of all, I have used just about every tool on the market, each with some type of fault or another. Uneven plates, durability, size, product sticking, hard edges, heat issues, temperature adjustments , venting, and being able to complete the tasks when I needed the tool to be an all around useful solution. I was skeptical when I was first introduced to CloudNine, but only for the first 30 seconds. These tools resolve all the issues I could have addressed at any point in time. I have discarded all my other tools for the first time into a box at home thinking to myself the waste of money, when I certainly could have bought an extra set of these tools. One set to travel with and another to leave at my Station. You will not find a better professional product in my opinion. I have a wonderful Bridal Clientele, color , and Long hair styling clientele through which I am honestly confident that I would never need another styling tool to accomplish what I need when it comes to styling. These tools are the BOMB DOT COM, THEY ROCK MY STYLES. - J Byron Robeson
